?After my graduation from college, I looked at job opportunities in Shanghai. 大學(xué)畢業(yè)后,我看了看上海的就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)。

?1.Looked at job opportunities:更常用的搭配是“l(fā)ook for job opportunites(尋找就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì))”

?Look at的其他常見用法:

?1)Look at the time! We're going to be late.(注意一下時(shí)間!我們要遲到了。)
?2)Just look at what you've done!(看看你都做了些什么!)
?3)Don't look at me like that.(別那樣看著我。)

?常見詞組:

Hot的常見用法:

1)This dish is a bit hot. (這道菜有些辣。)
2)Hot words were exchanged between the two men.(兩人之間激烈爭(zhēng)吵起來。)
3)I like reading hot news.( 我喜歡讀熱點(diǎn)新聞。)

常見詞組:

1)Strike while the iron is hot.(趁熱打鐵。)
2)Go/Sell like hot cakes(暢銷)

2.Commodity:商品,貨物

例如:The prices of the commodities are quite stable this year.(今年各種物價(jià)相當(dāng)穩(wěn)定。)

3.Household:家庭;家庭開支

1.此句運(yùn)用了虛擬語態(tài)。表示的是與過去事實(shí)相反的情況,主要可以套用的形式是:if…h(huán)ad done…, …should/would/could/might have done…

例如:If I had got there earlier, I could have met her. 如果我早到那兒,我就會(huì)見到她。(事實(shí):去晚了)

up:支持,援助

例如:Think of the far-reaching effects on your life if you only had a stronger sense of certainty to back up your empowering beliefs.(如果你的自信感更強(qiáng)一點(diǎn),來支持你具有強(qiáng)大動(dòng)力的信念,想想對(duì)你的人生會(huì)產(chǎn)生的深遠(yuǎn)影響吧。)

Have/ Get the best of something:獲勝;勝過;占上風(fēng)

例如:Linda was losing at first but eventually got the best of it after he opponent made several silly mistakes.(琳達(dá)剛開始時(shí)占下風(fēng),但是在她的對(duì)手犯了幾個(gè)愚蠢的錯(cuò)誤后,她最終占了上風(fēng)。)
