Hurricane watches ruffle along the coasts of Texas and Mexico ahead of Hermine. The tropical storm is expected to make landfall just south of the U.S. border, bringing close to a foot of rain.

One person is dead, three others on board a small plane injured after it crashes about 30 feet from house in Henderson, Nevada. Police say it’s a miracle no one on the ground was killed.
