Authorities say a former medical student accused of killing a masseuse he met through Craigslist apparently killed himself inside a Boston jail. Philip Markoff's body was found Sunday morning. The former Boston University student pleaded not guilty in fatal shooting of a woman.

Authorities say six of the eight people killead when a truck plowed into race fans in the Southern Califonia desert died at the scene, two others died at a hospital. It took rescue vehicles and helicopters more than half an hour to reach the remote location. Spectators, including off-duty police and firefighters, helped the injured.

There's renewed international concern about the unfolding disaster in Pakistan where up to 20 million people are affected by flooding. U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called it the worst disaster he'd ever seen. Ban is urging foreign donors to speed up assistance.

22 Elvis' impersonators in the Philippines marked 33rd anniversary of his death. The president of a local fan club said no one can compare to Elvis.
