Can Money Buy Happiness?

金錢(qián)能買(mǎi)到幸福嗎？

Nowadays, a lot of people in society think the more money they have the more happiness they will obtain. As a result, they will try their best to get money, even without considering the law.

現(xiàn)在，社會(huì)上有許多人認(rèn)為，他們擁有的錢(qián)越多，他們能夠得到的幸福就越多。因此他們想方設(shè)法去賺錢(qián)，甚至不顧及法律。

But in my view, the greatest happiness lies in one's satisfaction with one's surroundings. So long as we can look at things with a happy heart, we can be happy. It has nothing to do with a mount of money we have. Therefore, people shouldn't pay too much attention to their money. On the contrary, what they should do is to put their money to good use and try to have an optimistic outlook all the time.

但是，在我看來(lái)，最大的幸福在于人們對(duì)其周?chē)h(huán)境的滿(mǎn)意程度。只要我們擁有一個(gè)愉悅的心情，我們就會(huì)幸福。我們是否幸福和我們有多少錢(qián)并沒(méi)有關(guān)系。因此，人們不應(yīng)該太看重錢(qián)，相反，他們應(yīng)該做的是把他們的錢(qián)用在正確的途徑上并保持一個(gè)樂(lè)觀的態(tài)度。

NOTES

1. lie in 在于
例：The solution lies in the improvement of the economic environment.（解決辦法在于改善經(jīng)濟(jì)環(huán)境。）

在英國(guó)英語(yǔ)中，lie in 還能解釋為“睡懶覺(jué)”。
例: I like to lie in at weekends. 我愛(ài)在周末睡懶覺(jué)。

此外，lie in 還能表示“位于；存放于；（死者）葬于”。
例: The castle lies in a valley. 城堡位于峽谷里。
His grandfather lies in the churchyard. 他祖父葬于教堂的墓地。

2. so long as 只要 = as long as
例：You may take this book away so long as you return it on time.（只要你準(zhǔn)時(shí)把書(shū)還回來(lái)，你可以拿走它。）
As long as you tell truth , I'll try to help you.（只要你說(shuō)實(shí)話，我會(huì)盡力幫助你。）

3. have nothing to do with... 與……無(wú)關(guān)
生活中要表達(dá)事不關(guān)己時(shí)就可以說(shuō)：It has nothing to do with me. （那跟我有什么關(guān)系。）
