最近兩周林書(shū)豪(Jeremy Lin) 可謂是不折不扣的媒體大紅人（lin-sensational）, 一夜之間他從一個(gè)默默無(wú)聞的(underdog)華裔NBA球員變成紐約Madison Square Garden的主人。他有多“牛” ( lin-sanity) 相信同學(xué)們都已知道，但是今天讓我們換個(gè)角度來(lái)看 ” 林瘋狂 --- Linsanity”！

教學(xué)雅思口語(yǔ)這些年被學(xué)生們問(wèn)到過(guò)最多的問(wèn)題就是 --- 怎樣才能在口語(yǔ)考試中有效使用高分的詞匯，從而提高自己的分?jǐn)?shù)？但實(shí)際情況卻是背過(guò)練習(xí)過(guò)的好詞好句到了考場(chǎng)上完全想不起來(lái)。那么為什么會(huì)有這樣的情況呢？今天我就嘗試用這兩周?chē)?guó)外各大媒體對(duì)“l(fā)insanity” 的報(bào)道來(lái)解答這個(gè)困擾考生們的問(wèn)題。

口語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)誤區(qū)一：口語(yǔ)就是把中文思維翻譯成英語(yǔ)！--- translation works?

真的是這樣嗎？我們不妨一起來(lái)做幾個(gè)翻譯練習(xí)，看看你的英語(yǔ)用詞native speaker的有什么不同。

練習(xí)1：媒體采訪(fǎng)林書(shū)豪，說(shuō)奧巴馬(Obama)總統(tǒng)也是你的粉絲了，你對(duì)這么多人喜歡你有什么感想。林書(shū)豪說(shuō)他很榮欣，愧不敢當(dāng)，感覺(jué)有些受寵若驚。你會(huì)怎么用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)呢？思考3秒鐘，來(lái)看一下JeremyLin(林書(shū)豪)的原話(huà)。

Tips: 雖然先想中文再翻譯成英語(yǔ)的習(xí)慣很難避免，但我們應(yīng)該盡可能從英語(yǔ)原文的聽(tīng)力中學(xué)習(xí)地道的口語(yǔ)詞匯，這才是更有效的學(xué)習(xí)詞匯的方法。要了解更多同學(xué)們可以去網(wǎng)上看一下descriptive 和 prescriptive 這兩種英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的方法。

口語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)誤區(qū)二：用詞越難越好！--- beefing up the sentence?

最近，有位學(xué)生和我說(shuō)他迷上了美劇“生活大爆炸”(the big bang theory), 因?yàn)樗X(jué)得里面三個(gè)主人公的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)詞匯超牛, 有很多他以前背過(guò)的“BIG WORDS”，他希望自己的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)可以和他們說(shuō)的一樣。
這樣真的合適嗎？和這部美劇里的主人公一樣，林書(shū)豪也是名校畢業(yè)的“nerd (書(shū)呆子)”但他的口語(yǔ)詞匯非但不難，簡(jiǎn)直就是小學(xué)詞匯，我們先來(lái)看一段林書(shū)豪的答記者問(wèn)。

Tips: 口語(yǔ)詞匯最關(guān)鍵的是地道自然，不要為了難而難，否則影響考官理解，反而得不償失。其實(shí)“生活大爆炸”(the big bang theory) 中的三個(gè)人并非“正常人”，誠(chéng)然他們的口語(yǔ)是高分的，但并不適合我們同學(xué)去模仿，林書(shū)豪的口語(yǔ)才是我們應(yīng)該參考并且可以達(dá)到的模板。

口語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)誤區(qū)三：不以交流為目的! ---- speak to impress?

有學(xué)生問(wèn)我口語(yǔ)考試的時(shí)候自己感覺(jué)說(shuō)的很慢，每次開(kāi)口都要先想好怎么回答再組織合理的詞句，所以感覺(jué)交流不順暢。我們來(lái)看一下一段Jeremy Lin 賽后的采訪(fǎng)，體會(huì)一下什么叫作雅思考管反復(fù)強(qiáng)調(diào)的：Don’t speak to impress, speak to communicate!

“The only thing we established tonight was getting four ina row,” Lin said, adding: “I’m notreally too worried right now about proving anything to anybody. I think as a teamwe’re just growing and we’re trying to build on this momentum.” --- ESPN 的報(bào)導(dǎo)

Tips : 其實(shí)這位同學(xué)的經(jīng)歷很有代表意義，因?yàn)榭谡Z(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)上有一對(duì)矛盾：Fluency (流利度) 和 accuracy (準(zhǔn)確度), 很難兩者兼顧。如果你問(wèn)我哪個(gè)更重要，那么我覺(jué)得考試的當(dāng)天流利度更重要，要保證交流的順暢！平時(shí)可以去可以打磨一下準(zhǔn)確度。其實(shí)雅思口語(yǔ)的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)也是這樣設(shè)計(jì)的，其中accuracy (準(zhǔn)確度) 的參考依據(jù)是：pronunciation, vocabulary和 grammar.
