??? 1997年，樂隊(duì)成立于英國德文郡的特恩毛斯。99年末出版了自己的首張專輯《Showbiz》。據(jù)說，樂隊(duì)在制作這張專輯的時(shí)候并沒有考慮關(guān)于簽約公司的事情，所以這張專輯應(yīng)當(dāng)是樂隊(duì)最自我的一張，因?yàn)樗窃诤翢o壓力的情況下完成的?！禨howbiz》問世后，歐美的評(píng)論界都將這張唱片形容為“繆斯”帶來的《OK Computer》（Radiohead在97年發(fā)表的驚世之作，并被某雜志評(píng)為上世紀(jì)最偉大的搖滾唱片）。這張唱片和《OK Computer》確實(shí)有這很多相象的地方，但并非是某個(gè)旋律或是某句歌詞，而是他們的風(fēng)格。事實(shí)上，自從Radiohead發(fā)表《OK Computer》之后的兩年間，主流市場(chǎng)上一直沒有一張類似風(fēng)格的專輯出現(xiàn)，全是一些英倫軟式吉他流行曲，就在這個(gè)時(shí)候《Showbiz》來了，并且得到了最廣大歌迷的響應(yīng)。樂隊(duì)?wèi){借著第一張專輯就輕而易舉的征服了大英帝國，更不容易的是，他們也同時(shí)受到了美利堅(jiān)合眾國的熱烈歡迎。要知道，一個(gè)英國樂隊(duì)要能讓刁鉆的美國人看上眼，那簡(jiǎn)直如同中國隊(duì)進(jìn)入世界杯一樣充滿了奇跡色彩。(文/gothichead)
