北京奧組委開(kāi)閉幕式工作部部長(zhǎng)張和平說(shuō)，在開(kāi)幕式文藝表演的結(jié)尾部分，也就是《夢(mèng)想》表演段落里，將首次公開(kāi)演唱開(kāi)幕式主題歌。這首主題歌是從奧組委歷時(shí)五年、舉辦了四屆的奧運(yùn)歌曲征集評(píng)選活動(dòng)中脫穎而出，并經(jīng)專門(mén)的評(píng)審程序確定的。為尊重大家對(duì)神秘的期待，今天仍然不公布這首主題歌的相關(guān)信息。但可以公布的是：主題歌長(zhǎng)度為三分多鐘，演唱者是中國(guó)著名歌手劉歡和英國(guó)著名歌手莎拉·布萊曼。

莎拉．布萊曼（Sarah Brightman）1960年8月14日出生于英國(guó)倫敦，3歲開(kāi)始習(xí)舞，10年后首度參與戲劇演出，處女作是查爾斯．史卓斯（Charles Strouse）的作品"I and Albert"。1976年，布萊曼首度在電視螢?zāi)簧掀毓?，在影?Pan's People"里面擔(dān)任舞者，之后又擔(dān)任流行樂(lè)團(tuán)Hot Gossip的主唱；1978年，Hot Gossip的作品"I Lost My Heart to a Satrship Trooper"還登上英國(guó)流行排行榜第一名。莎拉布萊曼獨(dú)具個(gè)人特色，她充滿熱情的創(chuàng)意構(gòu)思以及舉世無(wú)雙的天籟，被譽(yù)為"月光女神"。
