Flo Rida本名Tramar Dillard，生于1979年9月17號，出生地為美國佛羅里達(dá)，carol市。其在舞臺上的名字Flo Rida更為大多數(shù)人所熟悉，是美國著名的嘻哈說唱歌手，年輕時曾是當(dāng)?shù)氐奈M合2 Live Crew的一員。早期Flo Rida與當(dāng)?shù)氐膫髌娼M合2 Live Crew一起巡回表演，他自己也組過一個業(yè)余組合叫做Groundhoggz，后來他出現(xiàn)在各式各樣的Mixtape和正式專輯中，其中最有名的是DJ Khaled的《We the Best》。Flo Rida剛開始邁向饒舌界時遇到了很多挫折，他被許多廠牌拒絕，也被許多人不看好。為此Flo Rida不得不到處去打工維持生計，同時在內(nèi)華達(dá)大學(xué)讀了2年和在巴里大學(xué)短暫學(xué)習(xí)了2個月。盡管如此他并沒有放棄他的夢想，最終獨立廠牌Poe Boy Entertainment簽下他。 　　

2006年加入該唱片公司后，F(xiàn)lo Rida與當(dāng)?shù)氐脑S多大牌開始了合作，如Rick Ross, Trina以及Trick Daddy。正是與Rick Ross合作的一曲“Birthday”獲得了成功，吸引了樂迷的注意力。而另一首頗受好評的歌曲則是來源于DJ Khaled的專輯《We the Best》中的“Bitch I'm from Dade County”。而Flo Rida真正的開始走紅則是憑借著與T-Pain合作的一首打榜歌曲“Low”，這首歌曲來源于他的第一張專輯《Mail On Sunday》，并在billboard單曲榜上取得了第一名的好成績。走紅后Flo Rida成為了各大明星專輯中邀約的對象，包括Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Yung Joc, Trina, Brisco以及Akon，甚至連Madonna的單曲“4 Minutes”的混音版也特別請到他上陣。
