Yes, I am the creator of Gracemere Woods! I make hand painted and burned images on wood slices.

When/why did you decide to sell your work?
什么時(shí)候/為什么決定出售你的這些手工藝品呢？

I had worked for other artists and businesses, and though I learned a lot from them, it never felt like I was on the right path. I’ve always had a strong pull to pursue my own vision through the arts, and finally took the plunge. And I’m so glad I did.
之前我為其他藝術(shù)家和商人工作，雖然從他們身上學(xué)到很多，但我一直覺(jué)得自己沒(méi)有找到正確方向。我特別渴望通過(guò)藝術(shù)來(lái)追求自己的理想，并且最終沉溺在藝術(shù)的世界。很高興我做到了。

Gracemere Woods was a hobby that my boyfriend and I started last year to get though the long Winter season. He collected, cut, and sanded the wood down, and I wood burned and painted on them. We didn’t know it then, but that’s how Gracemere Woods was born.
去年，男友和我為了打發(fā)漫長(zhǎng)的冬季，開(kāi)始創(chuàng)作Gracemere木雕，當(dāng)時(shí)只是一項(xiàng)愛(ài)好而已。他搜集、切割并且打磨木頭，我把木頭灼燒后在上面作畫(huà)。當(dāng)時(shí)我們也沒(méi)多想，但Gracemere木雕就是這么誕生的。

What does the term “Indie”mean to you?“
獨(dú)立”一詞對(duì)你意味著什么？

Indie means having the courage, grit, and perseverance to put your unique self out there. It means working really hard because you’re doing what you love. I have a lot of respect and admiration for indie artists and how fearless and hardworking they are. I take inspiration from that.
獨(dú)立意味著勇氣、堅(jiān)毅和展現(xiàn)獨(dú)特自己的毅力，意味著努力為熱愛(ài)的工作奮斗。我很尊重和敬佩獨(dú)立藝術(shù)家，因?yàn)樗麄儓?zhí)著勤奮。他們一直激勵(lì)著我。

What inspires you?

Where I live mostly. I live in the woods, surrounded by the magic of illuminated night skies and forest animals. I’m inspired by dreams, as well as just meeting talented people who are also pursuing what they love.
