本身生性開朗樂觀的中學(xué)教師帕特（布萊德利·庫(kù)珀 Bradley Cooper 飾）回家撞見老婆出軌后因精神創(chuàng)傷被父母送進(jìn)醫(yī)院進(jìn)行精神治療。出院后帕特回到父母家與父母同住，在父親（羅伯特·德尼羅 Robert De Niro 飾）與母親（杰基·韋佛 Jacki Weave r 飾）的過(guò)度關(guān)懷下不免覺得壓抑。選段中，Pat的爸爸用他的全部積蓄和別人打賭，Pat要在舞蹈比賽中達(dá)到5分同時(shí)老鷹隊(duì)要獲勝。而最后他們都做到了~同時(shí)，Pat已經(jīng)知道以前的信都是Tiffany寫給他的，他們互相表白，最終幸福的在一起了。
