slow 與slowly的用法區(qū)別

兩者都可表示“慢”,但slow通常只與少數(shù)動(dòng)詞(如 go, drive, pass, climb, run, walk 等)連用,且應(yīng)置于其后;而slowly則用法較廣,且可置于動(dòng)詞之前或之后,有時(shí)還可置于句首。如:
He walked slowly [slow] up the path. 他沿著那條小路慢慢地走著。
She slowly opened the door. 她慢慢地把門打開(kāi)。
Slowly, things began to improve. 情況漸漸有了好轉(zhuǎn)。
Negotiations were going slowly, and not well. 談判進(jìn)展緩慢,也不順利。
It is a good habit to eat slowly. 吃東西慢一點(diǎn)是好習(xí)慣。
He walked slowly past the house. 他從屋旁慢慢走過(guò)。
The balloon rose up slowly into the air. 氣球冉冉升入空中。
Then the audience dispersed slowly. 然后觀眾慢慢散去.
【注】在某些特殊句型(如感嘆句等)中,slow也可放在主語(yǔ)之前。如:
How slow [slowly] the time passes! 時(shí)間過(guò)得真慢!
The slower you drive, the safer you are. 車開(kāi)得越慢就越安全。
