II. Sentences

1. There are various reasons why people write poetry. Some poems tell a story or describe something in a way that will give the reader a strong impression. Others try to convey certain emotions.

人們寫詩有各種各樣的原因。有些詩是為了敘事,或描敘某事給讀者以強烈的印象。而有些是為了傳達某種感情。

2. They delight small children because they have strong rhyme and rhythm have a lot of repetition.

這些童謠能使孩子們快樂,因為它們節(jié)奏感強,又押韻,而且重復多遍。
