A Chinese football fan has reportedly died after staying up on successive nights to watch the World Cup.

The 25-year-old man from Suzhou, near Shanghai, was found in front of his TV hours after the Netherlands beat Spain 5-1 in their first round game on Friday, which finished at around 5am Chinese time, and doctors said his death could have been caused by sleep deprivation.
猝死男子今年25歲，來(lái)自蘇州。周五第一輪小組賽中荷蘭隊(duì)以5:1大勝西班牙隊(duì)，比賽直播到北京時(shí)間凌晨五點(diǎn)結(jié)束。比賽結(jié)束后人們發(fā)現(xiàn)這名男子猝死在電視機(jī)旁，醫(yī)生稱這有可能是由睡眠極度匱乏導(dǎo)致的。

According to the Xinhua news agency, doctors said the death was related to an excessive lack of sleep, but couldn't be sure whether it was sheer exhaustion or a possible heart attack.
