雖然

童鞋們表達(dá)“雖然”時(shí)貌似都較喜歡用though和although，現(xiàn)在我們?cè)俣嗾莆找粋€(gè)while哦。在句子中把while用作although的等價(jià)詞是容許的，只要不在意義上造成含糊或荒謬。例如：
While I admire his energy, I wish it were employed in a better cause.
我欽佩他的精力，然而我愿他把精力用在更好的事業(yè)上。
不過話說老師也曾經(jīng)叮囑過我們，最好還是嚴(yán)格按照while的原義“在……的時(shí)間內(nèi)”（during the time that）使用為好。因此童鞋們翻譯時(shí)就看著辦吧~囧

話（兒）

與“雖然”的表達(dá)一樣，作名詞用時(shí)，我們也有幾個(gè)常用的單詞，如word; talk; remark，譯文中用了remark，該詞常用來表示“有評(píng)論性質(zhì)的話”。除了文中的用法，remark后面還常?？梢越右詔hat引導(dǎo)的從句。例如：
He closed the discussion with the remark that “he who plays with fire gets burnt”.
他以“玩火者自焚”這么一句話結(jié)束了討論。

in accordance with與according to

“教子以義方”用的“以”即“依照，依據(jù)”，而in accordance with與according to都能用來表達(dá)該意，究竟什么時(shí)候用哪個(gè)好呢？
通常，說“依照法律”、“依照章程”、“依照規(guī)則、規(guī)范”、“依照慣例”等，用in accordance with語氣重些，用according to往往語氣輕些。例如：
The proprietor or operator of port facilities shall provide safe means for mooring, departing and changing to another berth, all in accordance with (或according to) the designed specifications of the port.
港口設(shè)施的業(yè)主或經(jīng)營(yíng)者應(yīng)當(dāng)按照港口設(shè)計(jì)規(guī)范，提供安全靠岸、離岸、移動(dòng)泊位的條件。
說“依據(jù)某書說”、“依據(jù)某人說”、“依據(jù)某報(bào)告”、“依據(jù)某學(xué)說”等，只可用according to，不可用in accordance with。例如：
The players are speaking and moving according to the director’s instructions.
演員們正按照導(dǎo)演的指示說臺(tái)詞，做動(dòng)作。
說“依據(jù)……而不同，取決于”，只可用according to。如：
We pay him according to his contribution.
我們根據(jù)他的貢獻(xiàn)付酬。

義方

“義方”即“行事應(yīng)該遵守的規(guī)范和道理，做人的正道”，也可直接譯為right way of conduct，但稍嫌平淡了，所以可以采取像譯文中的譯法譯為truth and righteousness。漢英兩種語言存在著較大的差異，翻譯時(shí)我們一定要注意符合譯入語的行文習(xí)慣，這樣才能使譯文更加通順流暢哦。
