Trembling Blue Stars,一個如此詩意的名字卻來自筆名Pauline Réage法國女作家在1954年出版的那本聲名狼藉的小說 The Story of O，這部兼哲理，色情描寫和性受虐傾向于一體的小說其中有一段這樣寫道，"她的眼睛如同星星--顫動的藍(lán)星（her eyes were like stars, trembling blue stars）"。
在Northern Picture Library解散之后，Trembling Blue Stars的創(chuàng)立者 Bob Wratten帶著這句話獨自上路了，這是在1995年的倫敦，Bob有些憂郁的想著，這該是和Annemari有個了結(jié)的時候了吧，多年以來，Bob都和擔(dān)任鍵盤手的女友Annemari Davies在The Field Mice和Northern Picture Library里合作，而作為當(dāng)時獨立廠牌Sarah的旗艦樂隊，The Field Mice的解散如同Sarah的解散一樣，令所有人唏噓不已...?
