上一次的英國(guó)美食之旅我們前往了蘇格蘭的北部靠海地區(qū),欣賞了大蝦、扇貝、酥餅、牡蠣、三文魚、蜂蜜等蘇格蘭特有的美食。那今天的UK美食之旅第二站就要去到蘇格蘭的中部地區(qū),去看看那里有什么好吃的~

Scotland is very famous for many things but one of the things that stand out for visitors is the country’s delicacies that are known the world over.
蘇格蘭的許多東西都聞名于世,而其最具代表性的則是蘇格蘭備受游客青睞、聞名于世的美食。

Scotland

There are many unique food in the middle of Scotland, raspberries, Cumberland Sausage, Brown Ales and some other delicious food.
蘇格蘭中部地區(qū)有許多美食,山莓,坎伯蘭香腸,黃啤等都是蘇格蘭中部特有的食物。

Raspberries

Raspberries are grown for the fresh fruit market and for commercial processing into individually quick frozen fruit, purée, juice, or as dried fruit used in a variety of grocery products. Traditionally, raspberries were a mid-summer crop, but with new technology, cultivars, and transportation, they can now be obtained year-round.
山莓一般有兩種市場(chǎng),一種是新鮮的山莓,另一種是作為速凍水果,水果泥,果汁或者是干果,運(yùn)用在多種商品中。一般情況下,山莓都是夏季水果,但如今,在新科技、品種、運(yùn)輸?shù)闹С窒?,成為了全年收獲的水果。

Brown Ales

Brown ale is a style of beer with a dark amber or brown colour. The term was first used by London brewers in the late 17th century to describe their products, such as mild ale, though the term had a rather different meaning than it does today.
黃啤是略帶深琥珀色,或者棕色的啤酒。這個(gè)詞最早是在17世紀(jì)晚期倫敦啤酒商用來描述他們產(chǎn)品的詞,比如說柔和艾爾這次詞,雖然今天,這個(gè)詞與以前有了一個(gè)截然不同的意義了。

Kippers

A kipper is a whole herring, a small, oily fish, that has been split from tail to head, gutted, salted or pickled, and cold smoked.
熏魚是一整條去頭去尾的鯡魚,內(nèi)臟等已經(jīng)被清理干凈,用煙熏制過。

Cumberland Sausage

Cumberland sausage is a form of sausage that originated in the ancient county of Cumberland, England, now part of Cumbria. They are traditionally very long (up to 50 cm), and sold rolled in a flat, circular coil but within western Cumbria they are more often served in long curved lengths.
坎伯蘭是香腸的一種形式,起源于古代坎伯蘭城,今英格蘭的一部分,坎布里亞郡。傳統(tǒng)的坎伯蘭香腸全長(zhǎng)50厘米。一般它都以長(zhǎng)卷的造型置于盤中,而今的坎伯蘭香腸常被西坎伯蘭人以一種更易于卷曲的長(zhǎng)度制作。
