1、特指某(些)人某(些)事物，雙方都知道的人或物或再次提到，基本上所有名詞前都可用。

2、用在西洋樂器前如play the piano/violin/guitar/drum

3、用于表示世界上獨一無二的事物或用于自然界現(xiàn)象或方位名詞之前。這些事物當然是特指的事物，不可能有兩個以上。

4、定冠詞與單數(shù)名詞連用, 也可以表示這一類人或事物。?
