場(chǎng)景一

Johnny:Hi！
卓尼:你好！

Sarah：Hi, there Johnny! Come and have a seat! How's it going?
莎拉：你好Johnny，過來坐，境況如何？

Johnny:Great. Thanks...Just waiting for Harry.
卓尼:不錯(cuò)，謝謝。我在等Harry呢。

場(chǎng)景二

Sarah：You two are hanging out together all the time at the momment...
莎拉：你倆最近經(jīng)常在一起哈。

Johnny:We're good mates. We get on really well...
卓尼:我倆是好朋友，且相處的很融洽。

Magda:Isn't Harry working for you as well now?
馬格達(dá):難道Harry現(xiàn)在也在為你工作嗎？

hang out是一個(gè)俚語，表示“和．．．在一起，在公眾場(chǎng)合出現(xiàn)”。

場(chǎng)景三

Johnny:Well, if he was working "FOR" me, that means I'd be his boss!
卓尼:呃，如果說他是在為我工作，那我就是他老板了。

Magda:What's that?
馬格達(dá):那又是什么呢？

Johnny:But he's working "WITH" me, which means that we work for the same company, that's all.
卓尼:但是，他現(xiàn)在是和我一起工作，這個(gè)的意思是我倆現(xiàn)在在同一個(gè)公司工作。僅僅是這些而已。

Magda:I'm not sure. I'd want to be in the same office as you and Harry! What do you do? Talk about football all the time??
馬格達(dá):我不確定我是否想像你和Harry一樣在同一個(gè)辦公室工作，你們都干些什么？一直都在談?wù)撟闱颍?/span>

Johnny:No! We don't even work in the same office!
卓尼:不！我們甚至不在同一個(gè)辦公室工作。

Magda:Sorry, only joking...I didn't mean to be rude, but I think it's a good idea to keep friends and work separate...
馬格達(dá):對(duì)不起，僅僅是開個(gè)玩笑，我并不是有意而為，我只是在想將友情和工作劃清界限倒是一個(gè)不錯(cuò)的主意。

Sarah：MMM...I agree...
沙拉：這個(gè)我同意。

場(chǎng)景六

Johnny:You could be right. But we don't actually work together closely. It's a big company you know and Harry works on the I.T side.
卓尼：你應(yīng)該是對(duì)的，事實(shí)上我們合作并不密切。你知道這是個(gè)大公司，且哈里是在IT部門工作。

Johnny:I'm at the front of the operation searching out opportunities, winning contracts, clinching deals...
卓尼：我的工作是負(fù)責(zé)開發(fā)市場(chǎng)，贏得合作機(jī)會(huì)，完成交易。

Magda:Alright for you then!
馬格達(dá)：就按你說的好了。

Johnny:I'll be rich in three years...
卓尼：三年后我就會(huì)有錢了。

Magda:That's what you always say! There are more important things in life than money, you konw!
馬格達(dá)：你總是這么說！你知道，生活中有許多事情比賺錢更重要！

Sarah：Magda, Don't worry...Not all Chinese people are like that.We don't only care about money!
莎拉：馬格達(dá)，不要擔(dān)心，并不是所有的中國(guó)人都像他一樣。我們不只關(guān)心錢。

Johnny:Maybe, but all I mean is, well, I know where I'm going...
卓尼：或許吧，但是我的意思是說，我知道我的目標(biāo)在哪里。
