Consumers in China spent $116.8 billion on luxury goods abroad in 2015, according to China Daily.
據(jù)《中國日報》報道,2015年中國消費者在境外的奢飾品消費總計1168億美元。
This translates to 46% of the global volume of high-end goods, which includes branded leather goods, cosmetics and electronics.
這筆消費占據(jù)了全球高端產(chǎn)品消費總量的46%。高端產(chǎn)品包括品牌皮革制品,化妝品和電子產(chǎn)品。
Many Chinese buyers are keen to make their high-end purchases overseas because luxury goods imported into China are priced at a premium, in part because of high import tariffs. The China Chamber of International Commerce found last year that high-end goods were priced at up to 68% higher in China compared to prices in the U.S. and Europe.
許多中國購買者熱衷于在國外購買高端消費品。究其原因,主要是因為奢侈品進口到中國國內(nèi)會有一筆附加費用,通常是關(guān)稅。據(jù)中國國際商會的調(diào)查結(jié)果,去年高端消費品在中國的銷售價格要比歐美地區(qū)高出68%。
This has resulted in many overseas brands shutting their mainland stores, such as French fashion house Louis Vuitton, which closed stores in Guangzhou, Harbin and Urumqi last year.
這種情況導(dǎo)致了許多國外品牌紛紛關(guān)閉在中國大陸的門店。比如法國時尚品牌路易威登就在去年關(guān)閉了廣州,哈爾濱和烏魯木齊的門店。
Other luxury goods brands such as Burberry, Hermes, Armani and Prada also shut outlets in China over the past two years.

Some brands remain bullish on China, however. Apple, for one, has been aggressively expanding in the country in the past year, and has set a goal to have 40 stores in Greater China by mid-2016.
有的品牌在中國任然保持強勁的勢頭。蘋就是其中之一。去年蘋果公司在中國大肆擴張市場,并且目標在2016年,在中國開設(shè)40家門店。
