一、BEC閱讀理解題的考察目的
1.根本目的在于考察邏輯而不僅是詞匯本身
2.核心解題思想是意思的反復重復與同義匹配
二、做題順序和時間分配
5改錯→4完形→3單選→1匹配→2選句子
Part V→8分鐘,Part IV→13分鐘,Part III→12分鐘 , Part I→12分鐘,Part II→15分鐘
PART ONE
一、 謹記:沒必要知道文章段落主旨,考察的大多都是細節(jié), 同義重現(xiàn),定位準確即可。
不要做二次推論
二、不同的匹配類型
1.陳述對應段落中的1句話,簡單匹配,常見題
2.陳述對應段落中的相鄰2~3句話,簡單推論,較少
3.陳述對應幾乎整個段落的內容,復雜結論,罕見
三、解題步驟:
1、閱讀題目及七個單句,劃出句意關鍵詞。
對于談論相似主體的句子,區(qū)別內容的相同處和不同處,注意體現(xiàn)不同處的關鍵詞
關鍵詞:(定位詞) 1)原詞重現(xiàn):專有名詞:人名、地名、數(shù)字、時間、百分比、金錢、黑體字、斜體字 2)原意重現(xiàn): 1、同義相似 2、同義差異 3)句子中出現(xiàn)a company 等“a+*”很可能是段落中的一個例子
4)正面還是負面,好還是壞
5)對原文進行歸納與總結
區(qū)別不同 舉例:
1. These can be piled up neatly without taking up much space.
without taking up much space.為修飾成分,can be piled up neatly才是關鍵詞
2. This set of furniture is characterized by space-saving and easy storage.
space-saving and easy storage.是關鍵詞
因此以上兩句的關鍵詞不同
1. Experience in advertising would be helpful in this job.
在廣告方面的經驗將會有幫助helpful,不是必須具有的
Apply for this course if you are interested in running courses in office skills.
此句重點在running courses 而非 office skills
1. Students are expected to learn something about American society.
American為關鍵詞,因為他是大寫,可以直接在文章中定位American或USA
Do not hesitate to involve your boss if you have difficulties with your work.關鍵詞為involve your boss而不是if you have difficulties with your work.陳述中總結關鍵詞。
1)人,公司,錢,商業(yè)行為
人:staff\workforce\executive\employee\employer\manager
公司:company\firm\business\corporation\ organization
錢:money\salary\pay\cost\ compensation薪水不是補償
A strong currency 錢has had a negative 負面effect on the company.
The workforce人 has made it difficult 負面for this company to become more efficient.
2)褒貶、肯定、否定
舉例:
A strong currency 錢has had a negative 負面effect on the company.
3)比較題,兩個主體,兩種看法
舉例:
Not all companies see a need to find out what motivates their staff.
People may perceive the same type of work differently.可能是一些人這樣認為,一些人認為那樣
2、快速瀏覽短文(依靠小標題迅速抓住各篇短文的主題)。
瀏覽過程中如果發(fā)現(xiàn)答題的具體信息,可在具體信息下面劃線并標上題號以備最 后檢查
3、解題技巧:
1)90%的情況是三個選項各被選2次,例子中的選項被選一次,不排除例子中的選項被選3次,沒被舉例子的選項只選了一次,但這種情況很少見
2)一三原則:四個選項中其中一個與其他三個不同的地方一定是出題點
舉例:A Price on request
B Price £200,000
C Short lease £15,000
D Whole property £190,000
A Product Manager
B Marketing Executive
C Management Trainees
D Group Product Manager
3) 可以先做例子所在的那個段落
4)For example\instance等舉例子后的句子可以不看,除非不太懂句子的意思,可以幫助理解
5)不要做二次推論,臆想文章沒有的意思
6)有可能雖然出現(xiàn)了同義詞,但是表達的意思不一樣
7)在一段中注意論點提示詞:but\instead\however等,前后可能表達正好是兩個意思,對應兩個選項
PART 2
解題步驟:
6選5
1、 先讀題目要求的第一句和題目,初步了解主題
2、 將例子所對應的選項劃去,一般是G
3、 把選項看一遍,圈出句子中的代詞、專有名詞、轉折詞、原因詞、結果詞等
4、 看文章,不要慌,都得大概瀏覽一遍,尤其是看一下上下文有沒有出現(xiàn)人名等明顯字詞,以免影響做題
5、 重點閱讀空格前后兩句,體會并列、轉折、正負面。另外要注意空格后一句中的代詞
一些常見的句際關系以及詞際關系
1、 句際關系的分析
(1) 并列關系:空格前后的句子基本屬于同一主題,沒發(fā)生轉折
(2) 轉折關系:空格前后的句子在含義上發(fā)生轉折(明顯或不明顯)
明顯:but\yet\however\unlike\rather than\no but(不是而是)\on the contrary\in contrast with與……相比而言
(3) 總分關系(舉例關系)
(4) 因果關系(明顯或不明顯)
因:because\as\since\in that\ result from\as a result of
果:so\therefore\thus\hence\consequently\result in
Cause\pose\lead to\create
(5) 順序關系:空格前出現(xiàn)數(shù)序關系詞
如first, second, third, then等
2、 詞際關系的分析
(1) 指示代詞:this\these\that\they\such\so\latter
(2) 同義詞和近義詞:in other words
(3) 數(shù)字指示詞
進:income\salary\revenue財政收入,稅收
出:expense\expenditure\cost\value for money性價比
Financial財政的\fiscal政府財政的
看空格前后語氣是正面的還是負面的,如果前后都是負面的,肯定空格所選的也是負面的。如果前負面后正面,則空格是轉折為正面。
解題技巧:
1) 沒必要閱讀全文或者整個段落,只需閱讀空格前后的句子;
如果根據(jù)空格前后的意思不能選出答案時,可以向前閱讀1、2句,沒必要再往空格后邊的句子讀
格外注意空格后一句的前幾個詞
2) 注意排除方法的運用
如果空格前后是并列關系,則排除轉折選項
如果空格前后是轉折關系,則排除不是轉折的選項
如果選項中出現(xiàn)人名或人稱代詞,而空格前后沒有人名,則選項也可以排除
如果選項中出現(xiàn)指示代詞,而空格前的文章內容沒有出現(xiàn)指示代詞所代表的內容,則這個選項就可以被排除

3)another_前后是并列關系

5)如果空格錢一句是上文的原因,則很可能空格是原因的論證,即舉例。

6)在 選項中尋找與空格前后內容重復的選項

7) 做題之前可以花幾分鐘讀一下選項,了解一下選項的特點,看選項中有沒有代詞

以上選項都出現(xiàn)了代詞,并且DF 是復數(shù),A是前面已經出現(xiàn)了一項內容,E說明前文肯定出現(xiàn)了兩個東西
8)在文中如果出現(xiàn)了并列論證,即first, second, third,一般是兩個論證,出現(xiàn)了一個而找不見另一個,則肯定就是空格上所需要的,一般不會直接出現(xiàn)second,而是用and, also等代替

做題步驟:
1、 看題目,把握文章主旨
2、 同義匹配是解題關鍵
3、 定位:題目和段落對應
4、 如果6個題中的最后一題考得是文章主旨(選一個文章題目之類的),則一般第一題對應第二段,其余的依次類推
5、 選項四大類:
1) 正確選項:同義詞匹配
The general rule in company communication is to tell employees as much as you can as soon as you can.
According to the writer, what is the guiding principle about giving information within an organization?
B Give people an overall view at the earliest possible stage.
2) 無關選項:上下文無此內容
3) 意思相反:文章講得是正面。而選項是反面
4) 不要做二次推論
6、主旨題:看在文章、選項中出現(xiàn)最多的詞,主旨題中的選項必須出現(xiàn)此詞才有可能是正確選項
舉例Which of the following would be the most suitable title for the article?
B Making company communication more effective
7、注意段落結構,如果很有規(guī)律,可以做出合理推論
舉例:
So what makes a successful team? There are some general qualities that have been identified. Steve Gardner recommends that in every team there should be someone who is good at researching ideas and another who is good at shooting down impractical ones. There should be those who can resolve the tensions that naturally occur in a team and others who are focused on getting the job done. Also, providing a clear and achievable target at the outset is the best way of ensuring that the team will move on to greater things.
題目:What is Steve Gardner’s advice on operating a successful team?
CSelect people who fit naturally into certain roles.
8、找出題干中的關鍵詞,在文中定位。題目是順序排列。
大寫定位,符號定位,同義詞定位
8、 選項范圍太小或太大不選;太絕對不選;不符合實際不選;太具體不選;不包含所有要素不選
9、 一般都是考細節(jié),一定要耐心定位
10、 每段的中心句一般在段首或段尾,瀏覽時一定要把握中心意思
11、如果題干中出現(xiàn)“in the first paragraph”,很可能得弄懂整段的中心意思才能選出正確答案;
“據(jù)某人說”也不一定是只有引號內的句子才是解題要點,找不到答案時要讀后或前讀一下
11、最后一個題一般在最后一段可以找到答案

錯誤類型:
1、 特指型錯誤
So\such\that\this\these\those\the\a\an\they\their\our\it
2、 并列式錯誤:介詞賓語并列錯誤
3、 動詞性錯誤:
及物性錯誤
“V+adv+介詞”可能需要去掉其中的副詞或介詞
“How to do”有可能需要去掉how
find
4、 正確的行數(shù):2至4行
5、 雖然是一行一行的挑錯,但是句子是一句一句的讀整句。
6、 首先看看句子是否完整——主謂賓,然后看動詞使用是否正確,錯誤分類:兩個動詞、及物動詞+介詞、不及物+賓語;然后看介詞搭配
7、 兩逗號間的插入語一般無考察點,可以直接省略以簡化句子
例子:
1)A vital skill for anyone running a business it is the ability to communicate effectively.
整個句子主謂賓有錯誤。如果不去掉it, A vital skill則沒有謂語
2)it is too vital to get the best out of the situation
從全文來看是肯定語氣,而too……to是否定語氣,太……而不能,則應該去掉too
3)Sending an email or by using another means ofcommunication
并列的兩項形式不同,應去掉BY或者如果把BY放在第一個前也行
5)ask in advance for suggestions for items to be discussed about
Discuss為及物動詞,不用ABOUT
6)set that out, starting with the most important, the points for discussion.
略過插入語可看出set out 的賓語應該是the point,所以把that 去掉
