So there are a number of points to consider when placing a newspaper advert because you want it to be as effective as possible. First of all, there's the reader to consider. You need to know who you are trying to reach. So, for example, if your product is for teenagers, you need to put your advert into the type of newspapers or magazines they'll read. Right, the second point to remember is that once you've chosen the best newspaper, you also need to consider where it will appear. Obviously, the front page is good but it's the most expensive place. That's also true for the back page. So look at the paper and decide which parts are most interesting to readers. Maybe it's the sports pages or perhaps it will be in the TV section. Again, this will help you reach the right kind of reader. Something else is the appearance of the advertisement. You need something to get the reader's attention like bright colours, perhaps a photograph or some of the words need to be very large.
