我們先來了解一下Bec中級(jí)大概都有哪些題型。
題型簡(jiǎn)介:
Bec中級(jí)閱讀part 2讓很多考生都很頭痛,這一部分一方面會(huì)占用大量的做題時(shí)間,另一方面的正確率卻相當(dāng)?shù)汀?/p>
遇見這類題,想做得又快又好怎么辦呢?
小編以BEC中級(jí)真題——第三輯T4P2為例,來為你揭開迷霧~~~
看到文章,正確的做題姿勢(shì)是:
1. ?首先,閱讀題干,了解文章的主題。
PART TWO ? Questions 8-12?
? . Read the article below about the importance of human resource (HR) management.
? . Choose the best sentence from the opposite page to fill each of the gaps.?
? . For each gap (8-12), mark one letter (A-G) on your Answer Sheet.?
? ?. De not use any letter more than twice.?
在這個(gè)例子中,文章就是圍繞著人力資源管理來講的。
那么明白文章的主題后,接下來是讀文章,還是先讀7個(gè)選項(xiàng)呢?
大家都知道閱讀的時(shí)間是很緊迫的,所以我認(rèn)為先skimming一下文章,腦子里有個(gè)大致的印象,然后細(xì)讀題干,并用鉛筆在旁邊標(biāo)記出每個(gè)題干的大意或關(guān)鍵詞(人稱代詞,動(dòng)詞,形容詞,名詞),然后再仔細(xì)閱讀文章并一段一段的做題比較好,這樣效率稍微高一些。
(注意:G選項(xiàng)和第一段是答案給出的例子,但是還是需要花時(shí)間看的,因?yàn)榈谝欢未蠖紝?duì)整篇文章的主題思想進(jìn)行了概括)。
Human Resource Management
It is nearly a century since the car manufacturerHenry Ford said, ‘You can destroy my factories and offices, but give me my peopleand I will build the business the business right back up again.’ (0) ___G___.But a few business theorists are beginning to argue that managing people wellcan add more to the bottom linethan anything else.
G. In the light ofthis statement, it is odd that peoplemanagement has taken so many years to move up the agenda.
引用福特的話,表明人力資源管理的重要性,隨后G選項(xiàng)說了人力資源管理提上日程之晚,說明其還不是那么受重視。
最后but進(jìn)行轉(zhuǎn)折,雖然不受重視,但專家表明管理好人力是可以增加企業(yè)利潤的。
這一段其實(shí)就為整篇文章奠定了基調(diào),有人提倡人力資源管理,有人反對(duì)它。
2.閱讀段落找出相對(duì)應(yīng)的選項(xiàng)時(shí),找出表明邏輯關(guān)系的詞
連詞but,however,for example,because,consequently等,代詞it, he, she,this等很重要。
Mike Manzotti, a leading American author in thisarea, has strong views about the growing importance of human resources in today’sbusiness world. (8) ______. A company with high staff commitment, for example, has an assetthat its rivals find hard to copy.
for example就是關(guān)鍵詞。如for example所在的這句話,員工忠誠度高的企業(yè)很難被對(duì)手模仿,顯然是對(duì)(8)所填的句子的具體說明。那么(8)應(yīng)該是個(gè)概括性的句子。
而這段話前半部分講的是,一個(gè)作家對(duì)人力資源重要性的看法,他認(rèn)為人力資源在當(dāng)今的商業(yè)世界有著越來越重要的作用。
所以(8)既要連貫前半部分人力資源的重要性,又要對(duì)下面的例句進(jìn)行概括。答案是B.
B. He argues that the role of a skilled, motivated and flexibleworkplace has become more significant as traditional sources of competitiveadvantage diminish.
翻譯:傳統(tǒng)資源的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)優(yōu)勢(shì)在逐漸降低,熟練度、積極性、靈活性高的員工如今對(duì)企業(yè)來說格外重要。
在這里,人稱代詞起到了很大的作用,he代指Mike。B既能銜接上文,又能概括下文,而且人稱對(duì)照。
在這一段里,邏輯關(guān)系詞for example 和人稱代詞he都對(duì)解題起了重大作用。
3.選項(xiàng)往往跟段落有照應(yīng)重合部分,注意段落與選項(xiàng)的同義詞替換部分。
但要注意哦,和原文句子完全相同的必然不是答案
Research in Britain would appear to support thisnotion. A recent business school survey into the performance of eightmultinationals found that people management could be the most decisive factorin a company’s performance. Another study indicated the same thing inmedium-sized manufacturing form. (9) ______. After all, how can an organization evaluate thecommitment of its staff?
前面是列舉幾個(gè)調(diào)查結(jié)果來支撐上一段的觀點(diǎn):人力資源很重要。
后面一個(gè)after all,問到怎么才能評(píng)估員工對(duì)公司的忠誠度呢?從after all可以看出第九空有點(diǎn)轉(zhuǎn)折。
人力資源雖然重要,但是員工對(duì)公司的忠誠度是無法衡量的。(9)應(yīng)該選A。
A. But the findings are inconclusive because of the difficulty of collecting reliableevidence.
翻譯:但是,調(diào)查可以說是無效的,因?yàn)閱T工對(duì)公司的忠誠度是無法衡量的
收集可信證據(jù)的困難,使得調(diào)查結(jié)果的不確定性。
這里的findings就是對(duì)應(yīng)的前面的survey和study,collecting reliable evidence對(duì)應(yīng)的是后面的evaluate thecommitment。
在這一段里,邏輯關(guān)系詞after all、but和同義替換對(duì)解題都起了重大作用。
4. 技巧2、3的綜合應(yīng)用
For this reason, the researcher George Hessenbergargues that a scientific approach is needed. He feels that when HR professionals suggestchanging an organization’s compensation structure or being more selective inrecruiting, they are asking for things that requireresources. (10) ______.
George認(rèn)為hr建議改變公司的薪酬結(jié)構(gòu)或更有選擇性的招聘,是在要求公司分配更多的資源。(意思是需要成本的,不是那么簡(jiǎn)單容易的)。答案是F。
F. He believes, however,that the only way they will gain approval for these potentially expensiveinitiatives is to have some data that demonstrates positive financialbenefits.
翻譯:然而他認(rèn)為,他們的這些可能帶來成本的計(jì)劃,能獲得許可的唯一的方式是能夠展示出幫企業(yè)盈利的數(shù)據(jù)。
這一段話都是George的觀點(diǎn),所以(10)這里應(yīng)該還是George的觀點(diǎn),可能是觀點(diǎn)的延伸或是轉(zhuǎn)折。
However的出現(xiàn),顯然是要轉(zhuǎn)折了。所以在這里,人稱代詞he很重要,they也很重要,代指的是文中的HR professionals。
并且這里的對(duì)應(yīng)關(guān)系對(duì)解題也至關(guān)重要,these potentially expensive initiatives對(duì)應(yīng)的就是文中的asking for thingsthat require resources。
在這一段里,邏輯關(guān)系詞however,人稱代詞he、they和同義替換對(duì)解題都起了重大作用。
小結(jié)
Bec中級(jí)閱讀part 2部分,重點(diǎn)考察的是句與句之間的邏輯匹配關(guān)系。
我們做題前,需要泛讀全文,然后細(xì)讀7個(gè)選擇,最后精讀全文,找出每一段空缺的位置應(yīng)填的選項(xiàng)。
在閱讀段落找出相對(duì)應(yīng)的選項(xiàng)時(shí),可以使用小編的解題技巧。
重點(diǎn)關(guān)注表明邏輯關(guān)系的詞(but,however,for example,because,consequently等)、代詞(it, he, she,this等)。
